Quality and other technical information related to this item:
1993
The reinterview project found some respondents were losing their S&E; status because they did
not report a second major/minor in the reinterview. This may be a burden issue.
Clinical psychologists and social workers were occasionally problematic
because some switched between social work (non-S&E;) and clinical psychologist (S&E;)
in the reinterview. In prelaw/premed, some respondents reported their major as
political science or biology (both S&E;) in the initial interview, but then
reported it as prelaw or premed (non-S&E;) in the reinterview. Area/ethnic
studies had the highest percentage of fields recoded from other fields into area/ethnic studies.
