President Bush Speaks About Commemorating September 11:  "History will remember that day not only as a day of tragedy, but as a day of decision, when the civilized world was stirred to anger and to action. And the terrorists will remember September the 11th as the day their reckoning began."  -- From videotaped remarks released September 10, 2002.   Listen to or view the President's remarks via DSL or 56K modem. Also available as text.

The whitehouse.gov site has added a front page to remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and to honor the spirit of freedom that will live forever.  A Spirit of Freedom tribute has been posted along with links to Presidential Remembrance Events that will be webcast live on September 11th.
