"Cookies" are text files stored on the computer by the Postal Store application. Postal Store uses cookies to administer the logon and logoff procedures both within Postal Store and across other portions of the USPS site. Specifically, cookies contain the user ID, a technical identifier, and time stamp information to verify that a user is logged on to the web site and has been active on the site within 15 minutes. No personal information is stored in cookies. Although a user can browse Postal Store without cookies enabled, to make a purchase the user must be registered and logged in, which does require cookies to be enabled. No information about the order is stored in cookies.
