• NIH Regional Seminars on Program Funding and Grants Administration
  These 2 day seminars for faculty and administrators include topics on

• National Animal Welfare Workshops
  The Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), sponsors workshops on incorporating the Public Health Service Policy into Animal Welfare Education ensuring high-quality management of institutional animal care and use programs.

• Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) Workshops
  The DHHS Office for Human Research Protection offers workshops on
  • responsibilities of researchers
  • Institutional Review Boards (IRBs)
  • institutional officials for the protection of human subjects in research.
  OHRP also offers self-instructional materials at http://ohrp.osophs.dhhs.gov/educmat.htm.

• NIH Small Business Research Conferences
  The Office of Extramural Programs offers conferences addressing the needs of small business researchers interested in the SBIR/STTR programs. Presentations given at past conferences are available on this site.

• Office of Research Integrity Workshops and Conferences
  The DHHS Office of Research Integrity promotes scientific integrity through a variety of educational programs and activities.

• NIH Institutes, Centers and Offices Calendars of Events
  Each NIH Institute, Center and Office regularly hold workshops and meetings that are open to the public. This site links to calendars of events for each NIH component.

• NIH Calendar of Events
  The NIH Calendar of Events (or "Yellow Sheet") lists NIH-sponsored meetings and other meetings of interest to both employees and the general public. It is updated continually. All meeting listed are free and open to the public.

• NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts
  Policy announcements, funding opportunities, and some meetings and workshops are announced to the public through the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts. Additions to the NIH Guide are published daily and indexed weekly.

• Federal Demonstration Partnership
  NIH is a very active member of the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP). The FDP is a cooperative initiative among federal agencies and institutional recipients of federal funds. It was established to increase research productivity by streamlining administrative processes and minimizing administrative burden on principal investigators while maintaining effective stewardship of federal funds. FDP typically meets three times a year, and meetings are open to the public.

• Grants Information (GrantsInfo)
  GrantsInfo is a communication service of the Division of Extramural Outreach and Information Resources, Office of Reports and Analysis, OER. GrantsInfo provides general information to the biomedical research community about the NIH extramural research and research training programs, grant application procedures and process, and how to obtain the NIH GUIDE and other information on the NIH web site. In addition, GrantsInfo is the contact point for organizations to request application kits and forms.
