Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must have been in military service, must not have been dishonorably discharged, and must have a current illness or injury that requires regular nursing aid and attendance to take care of your daily needs.

Description
Veterans Nursing Home Care is a benefit that provides nursing care in VA or private nursing homes for veterans who are in need of care, but are not acutely ill and not in need of hospital care. Priority is given to veterans with service-connected disabilities. If space and resources are available, other veterans may be considered to receive VA nursing-home care. Certain veterans are required to pay a co-payment for nursing home care.
