Small Business Owners:
How To Reach the SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission always welcomes comments on how it can better assist small businesses. If you would like more specific information, or have questions or comments about federal securities regulations as they affect small business, you can contact the SEC's Small Business Ombudsman and Office of Small Business Policy directly at 202-942-2950 or smallbusiness@sec.gov. You can also write to:

Small Business Ombudsman
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
450 Fifth Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20549-0310

The SEC conducts an annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation. For further information about the Forum, contact the SEC's Office of Small Business Policy at the phone number or e-mail address given above.

If you have questions, comments or complaints about the SEC's enforcement of the securities laws, we encourage you to contact the Office of Chief Counsel in the SEC's Division of Enforcement at 202-942-4530. If you would prefer to raise your question, comment or complaint to someone outside of the SEC, you can contact the SBA's Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Ombudsman toll free at 888-REG-FAIR. The SBA Ombudsman's office receives comments from small businesses and annually evaluates federal agency enforcement activities for their sensitivity to the special needs of small business.
