Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be or have been a fisherman who incurred losses and costs as a result of your vessel being seized.

Description
This program is designed to reimburse U.S. fishermen whose vessels are seized by a foreign country under certain circumstances specified by statute. Owners of private vessels documented or certificated under the law of the U.S. whose vessels are seized by a foreign country, and whose claims satisfy the specific conditions of the statute as determined by the State Department, may be eligible for benefits.
