In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must need medical advice or guidance regarding poisons.
Description
The Health Resources and Service Administration's (HRSA) Poison Control Program, a program of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, provides supplemental funding to PCCs (Poison Control Centers) across the United States, promotes universal access to PCC services, and encourages the enhancement and improvement of poison education, prevention, and treatment. Other activities supported by the Poison Control Program include: a national toll-free number to ensure universal access to PCC services, the development of uniform patient management guidelines for poisonings, the improvement of data collection systems and toxic exposure surveillance, and the improvement of public and provider education.
