Sonar Mapping:
about this Topic

Sonar mapping of the sea floor provides CMG researchers with very useful data. Some sonar systems map the topography of the sea floor by recording large swaths of depth measurements. Others collect information useful in determining the geologic makeup of the sea floor and the sub-surface structure.

Description: The potential fluid exchange between lakes of north central Florida and the Floridan aquifer and the process by which exchange occurs is of critical concern to the St. Johns Water Management District.
