Overview:
On June 16, 2000, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) convened a group of scientists in the fields of nutrition, pathology, epidemiology, molecular biology, immunology, and genetics to discuss research relevant to the interdisciplinary study of nutrition and prostate cancer. The purpose of this Workshop was to review the current status of nutritional sciences as related to the prevention of prostate cancer and to identify the most promising strategies by which nutritional approaches to prevent prostate cancer could be explored. Drs. Carolyn Clifford, Young Kim, and John Milner moderated the various meeting sessions.
