About the Benefits and Payroll Liaison
Branch, OHR
The staff in this branch manages the administration of all employee
benefit and entitlement programs, including retirement, health insurance,
Federal employees' group life insurance, long term care insurance,
workers' compensation, thrift savings plan, etc. Provides direct
benefit and entitlement counseling to employees and their families
and survivors, as appropriate. Manages all employee outreach and
information services, such as open seasons.
The staff also processes certain benefits and pay actions for NIH
staff; serves as liaison with the Department’s payroll office
on salary and leave issues; identifies and assists in the resolution
of salary and leave problems relating to payroll operations; and
maintains all Official Personnel Folders.
