The Privacy Act Issuances, 1999 Compilation Online Database contains descriptions of Federal agency systems of records maintained on individuals and rules agencies follow to assist individuals who request information about their records.

The two sources of Privacy Act Notices are: the Privacy Act Issuances, 1999 Compilation and the Federal Register which has updates to the most recent (1999) Compilation. The Helpful Hints provide instructions for searching this database.

Enter the search terms in the space below. Phrases must be in quotation marks (" "). The operators ADJ (adjacent), AND, OR and NOT can be used but must be in capital letters. For example: "National Archives and Records Administration" AND researchers. Word roots can be searched using an asterisk (*) following the word stem. For example, archiv* will retrieve archive, archives, archivists, etc. Additional instructions and examples.
