Chief Financial Officer and
Executive Vice President, Financial Services

Michael Rescoe joined TVA as Chief Financial Officer in July 2003. With responsibility for treasury, accounting, risk management, financial planning, investor relations, and retirement services, he oversees the development and implementation of all financial strategies for the corporation.

Before joining TVA, Rescoe served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and planning at 3Com Corporation, a global leader in network technology solutions, in Santa Clara, California.

He was chief financial officer of PG&E Corporation, one of the nation’s largest utility and energy companies, located in San Francisco.

Rescoe served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Dallas-based Enserch Corporation (formerly Lone Star Gas), a diversified energy and utility company that was merged into TXU Inc., a larger, vertically integrated investor-owned utility.

For over a dozen years, he was an investment banker serving the energy and utility sector.

A native of New Jersey, Rescoe earned a B.A. in anthropology from Tulane University in New Orleans and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

He and his wife, Jayne, have three children.
