Transporting Special Items

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has developed standardized security screening procedures for all airports. Therefore, you can expect that you will encounter essentially the same procedures at each airport you visit.

We have identified some helpful information that explains the security screening procedures as they may apply to unique items.

NOTE: Please check with your airline before arriving at the airport to verify their policies for transporting particularly large items.  It is the air carrier's responsibility to restrict items due to size limitations and these standards are different from one air carrier to another.
