CHAUFFEUR FP-BB*; FSN-3**

The Office of Human Resources (HR) is accepting applications from All Interested Applicants to fill a Chauffeur position in the Office of the Defense Attaché (DAO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The DAO Chauffeur operates a passenger motor vehicle as directed by the Motor Vehicle Officer or other DAO personnel to transport DAO or other persons as directed with the city and throughout Hungary. The chauffeur must maintain DAO vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition and perform minor preventative maintenance. S/he schedules routine maintenance for all vehicles, completes vehicle usage trip tickets, maintenance documents, and other daily, weekly or monthly vehicle records. S/he delivers documents and other items as required. The chauffeur operates a small bus or carryall as required by the DAO, ensuring that all occupants use seatbelts. S/he will perform other functions as requested by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  2. Experience: One year of experience as a driver and a good driving are required.

  4. Knowledge: A thorough knowledge of Budapest city streets and motorways in and around Budapest is essential. Basic knowledge of Hungarian traffic laws, auto operation, emergency repair, and preventive maintenance is essential.

  5. Skills and Abilities: A safe driving record and good driving skills as determined by the Motor Vehicle Officer and (Operations Coordinator of the DAO are required. Must have a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles to be driven in this position. Driver's license type B is required. .

The United States Agency for International Development is accepting applications under a Foreign Service National Personal Services Contract (Hungarian Nationals and Ordinarily Residents) for a Secretary position in the Regional Financial Management Center of the USAID Regional Services Center in Budapest.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Serves as the Administrative Assistant and Secretary to the Director (Regional Controller) of the Regional Financial Management Office of the Regional Services Center (RSC/RFMC) and also provides general administrative support to other RFMC staff members. RSC/RFMC employs a total of 30 staff members and administers US Government funds for countries in the Europe and Eurasia region. It has extensive responsibility for ensuring the accountability of US Government funds appropriated under numerous Acts. The accounting responsibility requires close coordination with USAID bilateral missions in all countries where assistance programs are being implemented. The

  3. Language: Level IV (fluent) English and Hungarian is required.

  4. Knowledge: Must have a good working knowledge of secretarial and administrative matters as well as good presence and general etiquette in order to interact with a wide range of individuals from the Host Country, USAID, Embassy and private sector. Must be able to establish rapport with other country USAID Representatives, Embassy and other government offices and personnel with whom RFMC works closely.

  5. Skills and Abilities: High degree of knowledge of computer applications. Word Processing, typing and a good ability in using all office equipment such as faxes, printer, copy machine, etc. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize a large and varied workload in an efficient and timely fashion, and develop procedures for the successful implementation of work assignments; good personal relations are essential.

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT FP-09*; FSN-5**

The Office of Human Resources (HR) is accepting applications from All Interested Applicants to fill a Human Resources Assistant position in the Office of Human Resources (HR).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

This is a Human Resources Assistant position located in the Locally Engaged Staff (LES) Social Security Support Unit. The incumbent provides clerical and administrative support to the HR Assistant who is the Team Leader of the unit. S/he will receive on-the-job training in how to process a large number of social security-related actions and to check the calculations of various benefits and contributions. Incumbent is responsible for tracking LES EERs (employee evaluation reports) from first notification until submittal. S/he will work to gain the knowledge and experience to effectively and confidently backup the Team Leader during his/her absence.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Incumbent serves as Protocol Secretary to the Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission under the direct supervision of the Protocol Assistant. When appropriate and time permits, assists other sections with related needs. Arranges representational events hosted by the Ambassador or the Deputy Chief of Mission, such as, dinners, receptions, luncheons, breakfasts, including the annual Fourth of July event.
