The Maritime Administration (MARAD) has approved four applications under section 9 of
the Shipping Act, 1916, as amended. They include:
- Gulfmark Offshore, Inc. of Houston, TX has received approval to transfer to Panamanian,
registry and flag without change of registry the offshore service vessel HIGHLAND SCOUT
Official No. 1077128.
The 2823-dwt. the vessel was built in 1999 in Mobile, AL.
- Horizon Lines, LLC. of Charlotte, NC has received approval for the sell and transfer
Eckhardt Marine Gmbh., of Hamburg, Germany, Islands, and registry and flag the tanker
HORIZON MAYAGUEZ, Official No. 517450. The 20,249-dwt. the vessel was built in 1968 in
Chester, PA.
The purchaser Eckhardt Marine Gmbh., will have the ship scrapped in China.
- Crowley Marine Services, of Seattle, WA has received approval the sell and transfer to
McKeil Work Boats Ltd., of Hamilton, ON the cargo BARGE 420, Official No. 569283. The
vessel was built in 1975 in San Francisco, CA.
The 6,642-ton barge will have Russian, registry and flag.
- DMT 4, LC, of Chesapeake City, MD has received approval to transfer to Maritima Tortuga
International, of CA, a Venezuelan Corporation, registry and flag of the hopper BARGE 401,
Official No. 647803.
The 3,000-dwt. barge was built in 1982 in New Orleans, LA.
