The Maritime Administration (MARAD) has approved seven applications under section 9 of
the Shipping Act, 1916, as amended. They are:
- Eastern Overseas, Inc., Palm Coast, FL, has received approval to sell the
120,820-gross-ton tanker OVERSEAS BOSTON to Maritime Delivery, Inc., a British Virgin
Islands corporation, for scrapping in China.
The vessel was built in 1974 in Hiroshima, Japan.
- Cape Fear Fishing, LLC, San Pedro, CA, has received approval to sell the 1,607-gross-ton
fishing vessel CARIBE to Dongwon Co., Ltd., a South Korean corporation, and transfer said
Vessel to South Korean registry and flag.
The vessel was built in 1982 in Mobile, AL.
- Otto Candies, LLC, Des Allemands, LA, has received approval to sell the 2,198-gross-ton
deck barge OC 257 to Mariner's Haven Limited, a Trinidad & Tobago corporation, and
transfer said Vessel to Trinidad & Tobago registry and flag.
The vessel was built in 1979 in Houma, LA.
- Vessel Management Services, Inc., has received approval to sell the 5,051-gross-ton
freight barge MALOLO to Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd., a Canadian corporation, and
transfer said Vessel to Canadian registry and flag.
The vessel was built in 1968 in San Francisco, CA.
- Gulfmark Offshore, Inc., Houston, TX, has received approval to transfer the
1,959-gross-ton offshore service vessel HIGHLAND GUIDE and the 1,931-gross-ton offshore
service vessel HIGHLAND SCOUT to Panamanian registry and flag, without change in the
ownership of said Vessel.
Both vessels were built in 1999 in Mobile, AL.
- ENSCO Offshore Company, Dallas, TX, has received approval to transfer the
5,336-gross-ton offshore drilling unit ENSCO 67 to Republic of Liberia registry and flag,
without change in the ownership of said Vessel.
The vessel was built in 1976 in Scotland, UK.
