Veterans entitled to preference who meet minimum qualifications must submit a copy of his/her DD-214, Report of Separation from Active Duty, or a statement specifying the type of discharge, dates of service, campaign badges received and, if applicable, an SF-15, Application for 10-point Veteran's Preference, together with the proof required by the form (for example, a letter dated within the last year from the Department of Veterans Affairs).
