Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must qualify for unemployment benefit programs and you must be unemployed or about to become unemployed or the major supporter or breadwinner of a household as a result of a Presidentially declared major disaster.
Description
The Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) program provides unemployment benefits and reemployment services to individuals who have become unemployed because of a Presidentially declared major disaster. If you are determined eligible for unemployment insurance, you cannot receive benefits under DUA.
