LOCATION: NOWATA CLINIC
JOB SUMMARY: Assists Pharmacist in preparing prescriptions written by practitioners. Notes practitioners orders concerning lab order, PAP’S, return visits and last medication orders. Notes patients compliance, labels medication, makes many nontechnical judgmental decisions, prepacks medications for dispensing and maintains daily logs. Calculates medication doses for the pediatric patients. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school education; or general education degree (GED). An additional three years related experience is required. Must be able to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician permit” within 60 days of employment as a Pharmacy Technician as specified by the Oklahoma State board of Pharmacy. Must have a working knowledge of computers, calculators, and typewriters.
