Cherokee Pharmacy is a small, retail pharmacy open to the general public. It is located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation and managed by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. An average of 180 prescriptions are filled each day. This employee will serve as the Pharmacist Manager for the purposes of the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Manager serves as the primary staff pharmacist, supervises a staff of 5 (one pharmacist assistant and 4 clerks) and manages the schedule for PRN pharmacists. Will oversee and direct operations, budget, training, development of policies and procedures, inventory management and control and ordering of stock.
Education/Experience: RPh or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have or be immediately able to obtain licensure in the state of North Carolina. Must have 2 years experience in retail or other private pharmacy operation.
Cherokee is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. A campus of the University of North Carolina is located 30 minutes away. Asheville, NC is one hour away and Charlotte and Atlanta are each only 3 hours away. Choose between living in the mountains or in a college town. Cost of living is reasonable. Outdoor recreation is unlimited.
