The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides a statutory right of access to government information. PBGC policy is to make the fullest possible disclosure of information, subject to restrictions imposed by FOIA and the Privacy Act, to any person who requests information, without unnecessary expense or delay.

• PBGC's Freedom of Information Act Guide — PBGC's FOIA Guide provides you with information about how to make a FOIA request, fees, response time, and where to find information that is already publically available.
• Electronic Reading Room — The Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996 (E-FOIA) require that agencies make certain records available in electronic form, including final opinions, policy statements, administrative staff manuals, and certain frequently requested records.
