Medicaid Alliance for Program Safeguards

Welcome to the Medicaid Fraud Statutes Web Site - a product of the Medicaid Alliance for Program Safeguards.  The project was designed as a means of sharing innovative and effective program integrity legislation. This Web site contains a comprehensive listing of official State statutory citations that are used to prosecute civil or criminal fraud, or those used to maintain program integrity or to combat program abuse. The Web site has been constructed in a way to provide various searches by major topics and subtopics with official citations, by State, etc. Information on principal State program integrity staff and direct links to individual State Legislation sites, LEXIS-NEXIS and Westlaw are also provided. (Please see our disclaimer.)

CMS wishes to thank all States for providing data and participating in this project.   Enhancements to the Web site have recently been completed to keep the data current. For more information on these enhancements, check out the What's New page. All feedback/comments will be carefully considered in making improvements to this tool.

This project is a collective effort by Medicaid State Agency Program Integrity, Attorneys General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services staffs.  We hope you find this information helpful in developing and proposing legislation appropriate for your State.
