  • Conduct surface ship safety surveys fleet wide in Combat Systems.
  • Field fleet questions, conduct research and provide answers on all topics related to safety.
  • Reviews and analyzes mishaps report, INSURV reports, and various other correspondences for safety related features, taking action as required.
  • Prepares information for articles associate with shipboard mishap prevention program for dissemination through various NAVSAFECEN media.
  • Participates on boards, at conferences, in studies, and reviews designs of new ship systems and major modifications to ensure compliance with requirements in safety.
