Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a Native American/American Indian and you or your family member must be enrolled in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native village. In addition, you must be a health care professional who is qualified/certified/licensed in dentistry, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatric medicine, psychiatry, as a nurse or nurse anesthetist, or you must have completed a professional degree and currently study or intend to pursue study in the field of health care.

Description
The Tribal Recruitment and Retention Program provides funding to tribes and tribal and Indian organizations to recruit, place and retain health professionals to meet the staffing needs of Indian health programs.
