2005 Delegate Assembly Policy Pilot Project – Review & Comment Now Until October 4
At the June, 2004 National Board of Directors meeting, the board approved a pilot project for the 2005 Delegate Assembly. Five policies are to be reviewed and approved using electronic means before the Delegate Assembly, resulting in a quicker process that may be applied in the future for necessary policy revisions between Assemblies. The NASW Legal Defense Fund introduces a new Law Note entitled “Social Workers and Work Issues”. This Law Note surveys various work-related legal problems faced by social workers who provide professional services, both as employees and independent contractors, and highlights potential legal remedies for these problems.
