Heighten CDC's Disease Surveillance
We will enhance CDC's traditional - and proven - approach to disease surveillance by using automated analysis techniques on electronically available health-related data. We will expand public health, clinical, and free market commercial laboratory capabilities in order to provide timely and accurate diagnoses across the country. This will include enhancements in animal diagnostics and food laboratories. We will improve border operations by expanding border health and public health quarantine stations from 8 to 25 at U.S. international airports servings as U.S. ports of entry and other selected points of entry.
