Buying a home means getting an inspection…before signing the contract. There is no substitute for a professional home
inspection. The appraisal that is required for almost all purchases should not be mistaken for an inspection. No home is
perfect, but getting an inspection by a pro protects the buyer from those really big surprises. Remember too, that many
states require sellers to disclose known defects to buyers prior to the signing of the sales contract.
