Dorothy Rothschild Parker was born on August 22, 1893, at West End, New Jersey. She was a writer, working for "Vogue" and "Vanity Fair." She later became a free lance writer, becoming the author of many books and articles. In 1939, she was on the editorial staff of the monthly publication "Equality." On May 14, 1947, Dorothy Parker was identified as the chairman of the "Voice of Freedom Committee." Mrs. Parker wrote many articles that appeared in magazines and newspapers that were connected to the Communist front organizations. In an interview with FBI Agents, she denied being a Communist Party member.
