The Army G-8 Mission

The G-8 is responsible for the future Army through programming, materiel integration, and management of Department of the Army (DA) studies/analysis.

We develop, independently assess, integrate, and synchronize The Army Program.

We are the principal advisor to Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) on materiel program execution, joint materiel requirements; and DOTLM-PF (Doctrine,
Organizations, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education - Personnel and Facilities integration.

We are the Army lead for the Quadrennial Defense Review, Defense Planning Guidance, and the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.

We are lead for Army Business Initiative Council and represent the Army for the Department of Defense DoD BIC which is responsible for implementing business reform actions.
