"Last August I announced that we would be testing a new utility uniform. I am very pleased with our progress as we now have over 620 airmen at 32 locations throughout the Air Force involved in the test. This test will allow us to determine if the uniform meets our requirements in important areas like functionality, maintenance, and comfort. Any new uniform we adopt must not only satisfy our needs, but ensure we maintain the professional warrior image of the world’s greatest Air Force. We are soliciting your feedback via this web page because your opinion is important as we work to select a uniform we will all be proud to wear. " Gen. John P. Jumper

"Our Air Force has a proud history of evolving to meet changing needs, missions and security environments, while maintaining the customs and traditions that make us a unique service. As we continue that adaptability today, we are testing a new utility uniform that will provide our Airmen a uniform that fits better, wears better and costs less to maintain. As we consider the options, your honest feedback will help us make the right decision to equip you, our great Airmen, with a uniform you will be proud to wear as we continue to project air and space power into the 21st Century."
