Connecting to the FTC’s free sign-up through this commercial number takes approximately seven minutes. Signing up through the official national Do Not Call phone line or online site is free and takes less than two minutes.

The FTC reminds consumers that they may put their telephone numbers on the National Do Not Call registry for free by calling 1-888-382-1222, or by signing up at the Do Not Call Web site, www.donotcall.gov.
