Senior Vice President of Economic Development
John Bradley joined the Tennessee Valley Authority
as Senior Vice President of Economic Development in August 2002, with
23 years’ experience
in the field of economic development.
Prior to joining
TVA, Bradley spent six years, from August 1996 to August 2002, as Director,
Vice President, and then Senior Vice President of Economic Development
at the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Before joining
the Chamber, he worked with Memphis Light, Gas and Water for 16 years
in its economic development department, which is housed at the Memphis
Regional Chamber.
Bradley’s
responsibilities at TVA include recruitment and retention of capital
investment and job creation in the Valley, minority and small business
development, technical services, and community development.
Bradley holds a
B.S. in marketing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and
has completed the Economic Development Institute at the University
of Oklahoma. He is past chairman of the Tennessee Economic Partnership
and past president of the Tennessee Industrial Development Council.
He and his wife,
Kellye, have three children.
