Vice President, Administration
LeAnne Stribley was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President of Administration by the TVA Board in December 2000.
She serves on TVA’s Executive and Management committees and is responsible for the oversight of Information Services, Business Services, Facilities, Procurement, and the TVA Police. Stribley joined TVA as Vice President of Finance in May 1995. In that position she oversaw financial analyses and valuations; credit reviews of customers, vendors, and business partners; and the development of long-range financial plans.
In 1997 Stribley assumed additional responsibilities as Controller, overseeing TVA’s accounting policies and procedures and preparing TVA’s financial statements. In July 2000 she was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance, and Controller and named to the Executive Committee. Stribley served as the principal liaison between the Chief Financial Organization and the financial staffs of TVA’s noncorporate business units.
Before joining TVA, Stribley was vice president, finance, and chief financial officer of Travel Resources Management Group, a Texas-based company that provides hotel reservation and marketing services to four- and five-star independent hotels. In that position, she was responsible for finance, accounting, information services, human resources, and strategic planning.
From 1987 to 1994, she was with the LTV Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio, a maker of steel goods, oil-drilling equipment, and tubular products with annual revenues exceeding $4 billion. As director of corporate finance, Stribley was a key player in designing and implementing a reorganization plan that enabled the company to successfully emerge from what is widely regarded as the largest and most complex bankruptcy in U.S. history.
From 1981 to 1987, she was assistant treasurer for the Western Company of North America, an offshore drilling and oil services company.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Stribley graduated summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University, did postgraduate studies in finance at the University of Texas at Arlington, and is licensed as a CPA. She and her husband, Bob, have one son, Ryan.
