Driving Directions

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency headquarters is located on the campus of the Headquarters Complex at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Access to the Headquarters Complex is restricted, and all visitors must verify appointments with the security guards before entering the complex. Additional DTRA facilities include the Hybla Valley Federal Building at 6801 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, Virginia.

The construction of the new Defense Threat Reduction Center (DTRC) on the Headquarters Complex has removed a large number of parking spaces, and parking is limited. There are guidelines for parking at the Headquarters Complex, and visitors are asked to familiarize yourself before your visit.

Directions: From Washington, D.C., or the Pentagon, take I-395 South to I-95 South. Take exit 166A from I-95 onto the Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100). Stay on Fairfax County Parkway for two miles. Turn left onto John J. Kingman Road, then right at the second traffic light to enter the main gate (Gate #1) of the Headquarters Complex.

To reach the Hybla Valley Federal Building exit the Fairfax County Parkway (Route 7100) onto Telegraph Road (North). Visitors should call their DTRA point of contact prior to arrival for specific parking instructions.
