BosniaLINK. This is the official Department of Defense information system about U.S. military activities in support of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Bosnia.

Fort Benning Mobilization Station Mission
Currently, Fort Benning’s deployment/redeployment focus is the Middle East in support of Operation Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom. Fort Benning serves as a Power Projection Platform (PPP) for the mobilization of U.S. Army Reserve and Army National Guard units.

Humanitarian Mine Awareness
Under the U.S. Humanitarian Mine Awareness Program, host countries receive funding, equipment, training, mine awareness education, and development of a permanent infrastructure to safely dispose of hazardous landmines.

NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR). KFOR is a NATO-led international force responsible for establishing a security presence in Kosovo. This peace-enforcement force entered Kosovo on 12 June 1999 under a UN mandate, two days after the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (UNSCR 1244).

Task Force Eagle/Operation Joint Forge. Since December 1995, the United States European Command has provided forces in support of NATO-led operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The NATO-led Stabilization Force (SFOR) transitioned to a slightly smaller force June 10, 1998. Simultaneously, Operation Joint Guard terminated and Operation Joint Forge/Task Force Eagle commenced.




Task Force Falcon. Since June 11, 1999, the United States European Command has provided U.S. forces and logistical support to Operation Joint Guardian, the NATO-led peacekeeping operation in Kosovo. The NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) currently includes forces from the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Canada, and Ukraine. Task Force Falcon is the nickname for the U.S. forces assigned to KFOR.

United States Army Europe (USAREUR). As a forward based land component, USAREUR demonstrates national resolve and strategic leadership by assuring stability and security, and leading joint and combined forces in support of the
Combatant Commander.

US Army Southern Europe Task Force
SETAF has been forward deployed since the 1950's and remains an integral part of the U.S. Army's Power Projection ability. Recent combined exercises and deployments: Iraq, Liberia, Morocco, Tunisia, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary, Botswana, Russia, Kosovo, and Bosnia.

US Navy CENTCOM & 5th Fleet
Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/ Commander, 5th Fleet's area of responsibility encompasses about 7.5 million square miles and includes the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean. This expanse, comprised of 25 countries, includes three critical chokepoints at the Strait of Hormuz, the Suez Canal and the Strait of Bab al Mandeb at the southern tip of Yemen.

US Navy 6th Fleet
The area of responsibility of the United States European Command and United States Sixth Fleet covers more than 21 million square miles and includes 93 countries and territories. This territory extends from the North Cape of Norway, through the waters of the Baltic and Mediterranean seas, most of Europe, parts of the Middle East, to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
