U.S. Army Pacific Deployments and Exercises. At the present time, some 1,230 USARPAC soldiers and Department of the Army civilians are deployed in 21 nations, while participating in 24 missions and operations throughout the Asia-Pacific Theater, the United States, and other Nations. In all cases the soldiers are meeting with a large cross-section of the diverse populations while involved in events that range from medical, engineer, logistics, JCS exercises, disaster relief, humanitarian and civic action projects.

 

The U.S. Navy 7th Fleet. The U.S. Seventh Fleet was established on March 15, 1943 when the outhwest Pacific Force was renamed. Today it is the largest forward-deployed U.S. fleet and its area of responsibility includes the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans.
