Emerging Technology

The Emerging Technology page is designed to help keep DSN users apprised of new technologies and/or issues that may affect the DSN.

Voice over IP (VoIP) and Wireless technologies are on the verge of widespread implementation.  Standardization efforts are tracked through the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) application, DISRonline.  Registration is required to access DISRonline.  The DISRonline website also provides information concerning standards initiatives and maintenance of the DISR.
