A central information resource on the prevention and management of diabetes, the clearinghouse responds to inquiries, develops and distributes publications about diabetes, and provides referrals to diabetes organizations. Publications distributed by the Clearinghouse are indexed on the Combined Health Information Database (CHID), available on the web at the internet address http://chid.nih.gov. Access is free of charge.
