800-777-8189 (Voice - Toll-free) DescriptionThe Spondylitis Association of America (SAA) is a national, non-profit, self-help organization that provides information to patients and health professionals on ankylosing spondylitis and the related diseases (Reiter's Syndrome and psoriatic arthritis, spondylitis of inflammatory bowel disease and undifferentiated spondyarthropathy) through education, awareness, advocacy and research. Information and most local programs are free. SAA has a yearly fee for members. Services include an interactive Pharmacy Service, barrier free web site with an active public message board, online "ask the experts" and moderated chat with experts, plus a toll free information line. Print ResourcesThe SAA publishes a book on spondylitis, a guide book for patients, exercise video tapes, and an audio cassette of physical therapy exercises. Serial publication: Spondylitis Plus, quarterly--information on research, treatment, and psycho-social concerns.
