The Texas 8(g) and GOM have been combined
recently into a single gas marketing operation for the Gulf of Mexico. Sales are now
structured based on either specific pipeline receipt points or pipeline pools, and source
gas is supplied from a blend of 8(g) and GOM leases. MMS is no longer offering gas
exclusively from 8(g) leases. To bid on any pipeline or pool gas offered by MMS, you must
obtain pre-qualification approval. Pre-qualification requirements are essentially the same
for both pipeline and pool gas sales. Click on the link below to find out how to
