The Airports & Environmental Law Division provides legal advice
on all airport matters and on environmental matters for all lines
of business, including relationships with state and local governments. The Division addresses questions concerning airport funding
programs, policies, and procedures, airport compliance with airport
grant assurances, and environmental laws; prepares and reviews environmental
impact statements and other environmental documents for legal sufficiency;
provides legal guidance regarding the promulgation of rulemakings
concerning airport and environmental matters; provides legal advice
and counsel with respect to the Passenger Facility Charges Program,
the Disadvantaged Business Program, and the national program for
review of airport noise and access restrictions; represents the
FAA in administrative proceedings concerning the Investigation,
Compliance, and Enforcement Program for airports; and represents
the FAA in airport and environmental litigation.
