Roberta L. Holzwarth is a partner in the Rockford, Illinois firm of Holmstrom & Kennedy, P.C., where she practices employment and labor law. Her experience includes a full range of employment and labor matters before federal and state courts and agencies, including the handling of discrimination and sexual harassment cases; retaliatory discharge and other wrongful discharge claims; ERISA and COBRA claims; FLSA claims; unfair labor practice charges and related proceedings; and union representation and unfair labor practice cases. She is also a Certified Mediator for the Circuit Court in Winnebago County, Illinois.

Ms. Holzwarth graduated B.A. from Stanford University in 1980 with a Bachelors of Arts degree and received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1983. She was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1983, and joined Holmstrom & Kennedy at that time.

Ms,. Holzwarth is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association, where she served as its President from 1999 to 2000. She is a member of the American Bar Association and its Labor and Employment Law Section, as well as the Illinois Bar Association. She has served as the Secretary of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the City of Rockford, Illinois, since 1990.
