Osteoporosis in Men: The silent epidemic strikes men too
A new IOF report shows that osteoporosis is a serious concern for men. Around the world an estimated one in five men over the age of fifty will be affected by the disease. At a press conference in Sydney on October 13, IOF Board Member Prof. Seeman, author of the report, said, "men who sustain fractures may suffer more severely in terms of the quality and quantity of their lives than when fractures occur in women".
