Welcome to the Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations

The OLAO is proud to celebrate another year of providing a wide variety of high quality products and outstanding services to the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services and other Federal agencies. We take pride in being NIH's premier central services organization for personal property, logistics and acquisition services, and a valued business partner to the other agencies we support. We continue to work diligently to improve our products and services and remain committed to providing the highest quality of services to our customers.

The OLAO staff is pleased to present our new web site to showcase our products and services and to keep you up to date on all of the new and exciting things that are happening in OLAO. From blackberries to reverse auctions, reviewing the 2004 Personal Property inventory to renting a vehicle from Enterprise Car Rental, or learning more about NIH's Purchase Card Program, the primary goal of our new site is to ensure we have a "user-friendly, customer focused web-page, designed to allow you easy access to our products, services and policies.

Over the next few months you will see additional upgrades to our web-page, to include online ordering of excess furniture from our surplus property warehouse, search capability for awarded contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements, and in the near future, on line ordering from our supply catalog.

Our new home page and related links are part of our continuing efforts to enhance the quality of our service delivery to you, our most valued customer. To enable us to better meet your needs, we need your input. Please let us know what you like about our site, what you think we need to do better, or what you think is missing and should be added. 2003 Awardees
Each year purchasing staff are recognized for their outstanding service to the NIH purchasing community. Awardees were honored on April 21st at the quarterly Simplified Acquisition Committee meeting in the Neuroscience Building. David R. Ramos, Acting Associate Director for Administration presented the awards.  Nominators and supervisors of the awardees were in attendance.
