Its mission is to research and develop ecologically and economically sustainable range animal management systems that ultimately meet consumers needs. Research at Fort Keogh is comprised of four disciplines: Rangeland Ecology & Management, Beef Cattle Genetics, Range Animal Nutrition, and Reproductive Physiology. In addition to specific disciplinary research efforts, multi-disciplinary team research is conducted to develop effective and efficient rangeland beef cattle production systems.
