Department of Agriculture (USDA)-Agriculture Research Service (ARS)

Fort Keogh is a 55,000 acre rangeland beef cattle research facility. Its mission is to research and develop ecologically and economically sustainable range animal management systems that ultimately meet consumers needs. Research at Fort Keogh is comprised of four disciplines:
Rangeland Ecology & Management, Beef Cattle Genetics, Range Animal Nutrition, and Reproductive Physiology. In addition to specific disciplinary research efforts, multi-disciplinary team research is conducted to develop effective and efficient rangeland beef cattle production systems.
