Services

ESO products and services are available to authorized U.S. Department of the Navy and Department of Defense agencies. The Marine Environmental Support Office provides high-quality scientific and marine environmental support services to help front-line Navy environmental planners manage their environmental initiatives. By providing continuing support on numerous and recurring marine environmental issues for many Navy activities, MESO has accumulated an extensive database of environmental information.

The availability of the unique Marine Environmental Survey Capability (installed aboard the R/V ECOS) also allows water quality parameters and pollutants of concern to be hydrodynamically mapped in real-time. MESO also provides information and data management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services.

MESO's technical and scientific support for marine environmental science, protection and compliance issues covers a broad spectrum of activities, including, but not limited to:
