A Note to Undergraduate Students Regarding Scholarships

NSF does not directly offer scholarships or financial aid to undergraduates. Our Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarships (CSEMS) program provides grants to educational institutions, which then select students to receive scholarships, and our Collaboratives for Excellence in Teacher Preparation (CETP) program makes grants to coalitions of undergraduate institutions, which in turn award a few scholarships to students preparing to be K-12 teachers. Some projects funded by NSF support students in summer research experiences, internships, and similar activities.

If you are interested in scholarships or other financial aid opportunities, visit your college's financial aid office and perhaps also its career center. You may also find helpful information in the publication "A Selected List of Fellowship and Other Support Opportunities for Advanced Education for United States Citizens and Foreign Nationals" (NSF 93-147) or at financial aid Web sites such as FinAid.
