Consumer Sentinel's
restricted-access web site is available only to federal, state and local law enforcement
organizations. To use the database, you need a personal computer, a connection to the
Internet, and a browser. The site supports both Netscape and Microsoft's Internet
Explorer.
For more information on Consumer Sentinel and
how your law enforcement organization can become a member, visit www.ftc.gov/sentinel.
Consumer Sentinel's restricted-access web site
has built-in safeguards - including client authentication, server authentication and data
encryption protections - to ensure the security of the information in the database. You
can download the security software once, register online and then use the software to
begin a secure session any time.
