FY 2003 Priorities

CHRONIC DISEASE PREVENTION AND HEALTH PROMOTION (CDC)

Research: CDC will support a special American Indian/Alaska Native women project which will describe screening program start-up and implementation for overcoming individual and organizational barriers to cancer screening through case studies. FY 2003 priorities include: developing, implementing, and evaluating national, community-based interventions for cancer prevention and early detection, and translating research into recommendations for action.

Evaluations: CDC will conduct evaluations on the effectiveness of diabetes prevention efforts in tribal communities and urban settings. Priorities include:
